Staff David Browning, MSW, BCD Mr. Browning has 25 years of clinical experience serving individuals, families and organizations coping with life threatening illness, bereavement, and other traumatic life events. His research and publications have focused on advancing grounded theory in bereavement and end-of-life care, reflective practice for clinicians in their engagement with suffering, and promoting relational learning strategies to enhance professionalism and organizational change. Mr. Browning is a recipient of the prestigious Social Work Leadership Development Award from the Open Society Institute’s Project on Death in America. He is also Co-Founder and Senior Scholar at the Institute for Professionalism and Ethical Practice at Children’s Hospital Boston and Harvard Medical School.
